Polly Vaughn and the Linley school exhibition in Cedar Hill
In Linley, Polly Vaughn grows from restless pupil to central figure in a winter of village theater. Teacher Trove guides her and classmates through dancing lessons, a prim primer class, and a community exhibition that brings out Miss Polly’s charm, the town’s talent, and a dream of future prominence in politics, law, and faith.
