Lyss Gibson of Cleveland, visiting grandparents near Operlin, was badly bitten Tuesday afternoon by a dog. The dog bit deeply and had to be choked off. Dr Bunce treated multiple wounds with cauterization. The boy is expected to recover but may be badly disfigured.

A man near Cygnet allegedly siphoned about twenty five barrels daily from a leased tank, using a secret connection watched by fluid glasses. Despite arrest, no charges or public name appear due to the company’s books policy.

Two more appropriation cases from Pittsburg and Lake Erie were resolved in probate court. John Linden of Avon township won 230 dollars compensation for land taken and 1,020 dollars damages to the residue. John Gorman of Cleveland, intoxicated in Elyria, slept on lumber ledge at Parsch's yard. He rolled off about twenty feet onto a rocky jut, remained unconscious until rescued by rope, bruised and with a sprained leg. He will return home once treated.
Slyvan der Williams died in Kipton Ohio after a long life with roots in Strongville and Elyria. He married four times and is survived by his last wife Mrs Fannie Culver Williams and by children from earlier marriages. A Christian Church member, his funeral was held at his Kipton home with Pastor W. J. Cook officiating.
Rt Rev Ignatius F. Horstmann D D bishop of the Catholic diocese of Cleveland is due in Cleveland Sunday. He will bring medals from the Pope and the Apostolic benediction praising the Cleveland diocese for its work.
Mrs. M. 5. Beckley longtime resident of the southern Lorain county area died Friday afternoon at her home near Baksr a crossing at seventy two. She contributed to the Universalist church and was noted for charity. Survived by one son H. C. Beckley of Raches ter, O.

John Cloley laid to rest at Ridgelawn cemetery after funeral at Second Congregational Church with Rev Warnita maker and church choir. Two deputy sheriffs were stationed on Lorain road near North Olmsted to halt railroad grade crossing work by Pittsburg and Lake Erie. The line, newly entering Cuyahoga county from Lorain, has no franchise from county commissioners. Deputies remain on duty until an agreement is reached between the railroad and authorities.
