Horrible Lake Shore Accident Crashes Worker Between Engines
A brakeman named How Wier, about 30, of Indiana origin, was crushed between two engines on the Lake Shore early Thursday. The double reader freight train, short of coal, ran at speed in fog, causing Wier to be ejected and killed instantly. Wier’s body was recovered after a Cleveland wrecker cleared the wreckage. Relatives are believed to be in Indiana.
