Electric line accident claims Elyria man
Hugh Purseglove of Claveland, a former Elyria boy, fell from a pole while repairing overhead wires and was instantly killed. The body was brought to town on Tuesday and buried in Elyria cemetery. It is thought he touched a live wire, the shock causing his death.

Lorain County mourns the death of Dr. William N Briggs at his Fields Corner home on Tuesday evening aged 76. A longtime Lorain County clerk for fifteen years, he was born in Olmsted Township Ohio and moved to the county as a child. He was a graduate physician who practiced briefly due to poor health. Funeral is Friday morning at his home with burial at Butternut Ridge Cemetery. He leaves a widow, a son Briggs, and a daughter, Mrs Mary Nigah of Buffalo.

Hugh Finnegan a mail clerk on the wrecked train suffered serious injuries after the car left the track and rolled down an embankment near Palmyra New York.
