Penfield Man Kills Wife Then Shoots Self
Oscar McAlpin, in a fit of anger, shot his wife in Penfield Friday after 5 pm and then wounded himself. He is in county jail under medical care with poor prospects for recovery. The couple had been separated after a lengthy quarrel and had agreed to a settlement of 1200 and a farm exit. He returned to the house after visiting his daughter in La Grange, bought a revolver, and shot Mrs McAlpin in the kitchen then shot himself. Continuous coverage continues on page.

Heavy bond for Ruth G3
Edward Rethfuss, 26, bound over to the grand jury on a June assault charge against 14 year old Florence Baus of Amherst. Bond set at 2000 but unpaid, he jailed. Fate Ends Career of This Inventor
Altoona January news reports the death of Fred G. Cowden at Swissvale from pleuro pneumonia. The former Altoona apprentice, linked to Pennsy Juniata shops and Westinghouse, invented a copper coating process for steel wire. He died at 39 and was buried in Fairview cemetery.

Jessie E L Scott sues the city of Elyria for damages claiming a October 25 1906 bridge accident caused a left leg fracture and nervous shock. She alleges the bridge was out of repair and shoddily repaired causing tripping hazards in darkness with resulting medical bills and lost wages. Henry Seavers 66 was found intoxicated on railroad tracks and arrested for intoxication after police intervention.

Chicago officials report Herman Biller the fortune teller bound over to the grand jury after a coroner verdict linking poisoning to six Vizal family deaths.
