Death of Hartsgrove man brings coffin home in tragedy
Chardon Ohio January 4 Arthur Carrier 33 of Hartsgrove drove homeward with a coffin intended for neighbor Charles Mahoney who died of pneumonia. The body was found along the Windsor to Hartsgrove highway with an arm broken and neck fractured. Violence initially suspected but later dismissed as investigators searched the countryside. Carrier had been expected to return from Windsor after a ten mile trip to arrange funeral details.
