Boy Shot With Loaded Gun On Clark Street
Earl Schamel age 12 was shot in the head while playing with other children using a loaded shotgun on Clark street. The blast lodged in his face and head and he was taken to Elyria hospital by Rimbach's ambulance. Condition was not learned at press time. He lives on Huron street.

City Council Revises Sidewalk Stone Specifications
At a committee meeting the council discussed alleged discrimination against the Grafton Stone Company over a sidewalk spec that forced stone at 2.5 inches thick. Charles Ely argued his company supplied more stone and claimed theirs was superior. The council voted to amend the clause to require two inches thickness to be fair to all.
