A jumble of ads and anecdotes extols various remedies including Electric Bitters and Boschee’s German Syrup. Claims of cures for indigestion coughs and consumption appear alongside mining stock pitches and travel ads. Several personal testimonials praise Dr Kings New Discovery and KodolDigestive aids.
The piece warns of a grave epidemic and urges medical help as people suffer from fever aches, eye tears, and fatigue. It describes extreme pains and weakness, noting a sense of being very old and unable to move freely. It urges readers to seek a doctor promptly.
Evidence suggests the Hillier robbers were in Elyria at least a week before the Houghton Chestnut Street robbery. Kid gloves found on a slain robber were turned to city solicitor Stevens. Houghton’s home shows signs of prior unknown occupancy and a missing pair of his wife’s gloves.
A German lottery scam claimed twelve victims in Elyria. A so called agent organized a class of twelve men who each paid 18 dollars for twelve drawings. Tickets were forged and although drawings appeared legitimate the group could not obtain any prizes.

The line would enter South Lorain at Globestret, use the yellow line to Elyria, and potentially extend tracks to Mill Street to connect with OC E and W. Elyria seeks franchises and city car service. Mrs. Eliza Childe aged resident died at her son's home on West 8th Street at eight o'clock Wednesday morning. She was 84 years old. The funeral will be held at the house on Friday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. Salsa officiating.

ARRESTED DM Bram of Kipton was taken into custody a week ago Saturday in Norwalk on a bribery charge. The indictment stems from an offer of $2 to John Rossman of Peru township to secure Britannica introductions in several area schools. Rossman declined. Bram’s prior role as Kipton schools superintendent and current encyclopedia salesman is noted, with the case awaiting outcome.
A More Pay Av rural delivery mail carrier outlines yearly costs totaling 144.39 from a 600 salary leaving 455.81 for his work. He delivered 55,210 mail pieces and handled 60,734 total, criticizing pay as about half of what it should be. The other notes mention Venezuela, La Guayra bombardment and a Quail in the attacking fleet.
Congressman W. W. Skiles sees his bill to establish a Lorain life saving station pass the house. He led years of effort to secure a station at Lorain amid concerns that seven larger Lake Erie ports lack such facilities and several lives have been lost near the harbor in the last decade.
