NARROW ESCAPE ON GREEN LINE CAR AND DEATH OF LO RAIN ELDER
Patrick Delaney the oldest Lorain County resident, aged 90, died at his son Frank Delaney’s home on Penfield avenue junction around 2 10 a m. He was born in Cork Ireland in 1797 and emigrated to this county circa 1845. A ship carpenter by trade, he aided in building many Black River township homes and suffered a broken hip about ten years ago, leaving him bedbound. Survived by one son and many relatives, his funeral planned for Thursday at kinwood cemetery. His wife died about a year ago after a buggy accident during a circus event, leaving her bedbound for years but later recovering enough to live at home.
