Elmory Tarry applies in probate court for guardianship of 14 year old Luella Marguerite Kreeutzberg daughter of John Kreeitzberg alleging a unfit father and cruel treatment. Hearing set for August 26 at 10 a.m.
Funeral services for Charles C Ensign will be held Sunday afternoon at Ridgeville with Rev W C Dawson officiating. Interment follows in Elyria cemetery. Mr Ensign, an Elk exalted ruler, died by self inflicted gunshot yesterday amid illness and anger. Elyria Elks expected to attend in a body.
Funeral services for Mrs. John Wolfsberger were conducted at her home in Coonville, officiated by Rev. Withycombe. The body was transported to Cleveland by special car and laid to rest at the Erte Street Cemetery after a private interment.
The third annual convention of the Christian Endeavor societies of central and northern Ohio closed today with officers elected for the year. President Rev Samuel Lindenmeyer of North Amherst. vice president Rev W H Hempler of Tiffin. recording secretary Miss Katherine Koester of Cleveland. corresponding secretary Rev F H Draper of Wooster. treasurer Mrs Pauline Betts of Kenton. Zanesville will host the next meeting. Also, Nicholas Klassen narrowly escaped injury after slipping on railroad tracks at North Amherst depot, suffering only a wrist sprain.

At the annual meeting of the Congregational Summer Assembly in Frankfort Michigan W H Levagood was elected a trustee and a member of the Executive Committee Rev H S Wannamaker was elected for the fourth time a trustee and secretary Miss Lillian V Sears and Miss Florence Terry were appointed Social Committee members The assembly originated in Elyria five years ago Tots are selling and a hotel and auditorium will be erected on the grounds The session is described as enthusiastic Hilyria reports the latest attendance Wannamaker and family will return next week
Clinton Theobald was chosen city engineer to succeed Ir W Griffin who resigned. The salary was fixed at 100 per month. Theobald is among the brightest young civil engineers in Lorain County and is expected to fulfill the duties with credit and benefit to the city.
