McDermott chosen as clerk of board for coming year
CG BE McDermott of Wellington, retiring member of the board of deputy state supervisors of elections, has been unanimously named clerk for the coming year. The new registration law will place heavy duties and responsibilities on him, and his wisdom is expected to guide the board through the year. He previously left the board after factional differences in Wellington. Drowned Abbert Foreman, 23, son of Mr and Mrs John W Foreman of West Street, drowned at Randall's Grove Sunday afternoon. Cause unknown but cramps suspected after entering the water. Body recovered quickly. resuscitation attempts failed. He leaves a wife and six month old child. Funeral set for 9 am Tuesday at St Mary's Church with Rev Hoffermann.

Escaped Prisoner Frees Way With Brick Exit
