E H Hastings sues G E French and N Ingalls to recover 200 with interest since August 29 1900 and says two years of interest have accrued with no payment since 1899. Lee Stroup is Hastings attorney. B F Breckenridge seeks 206.68 from John Brannen dated December 1 1887 with no interest paid. Breck enridge holds a mortgage on 35 acres in Camden township, sells land to cover the note. Mrs Brannan is a defendant for dower. Les Stroup represents Breckenridge.
Celebration on August 2 remembers Colonel Croghan and Fort Stephenson victory. An elaborate program ran morning and afternoon with a picnic dinner and races, a baseball game, fireworks, a lawn fete, and a band concert. Railroads offered reduced rates as crowds filled the city.
