Big Potato Trust Formed by Farmers in Iowa Area
Indianapolis Aug 3 The American Society of Equity, a farmers group with headquarters in Indianapolis and claimed 200 000 Northwest members, plans a vast trust to control potato and other farm product prices. It seeks a national marketing association by September, with a Chicago meeting to finalize details. The plan envisions state groups directing when to market, limiting surplus, and removing the middleman while regulating supply to push fair prices for producers and consumers.
