The street car strike ends after a prolonged conference. Both sides approve a memo ratified in Cleveland. Men resume service at noon Tuesday and conduct during the strike drew praise for order and restraint.
The 1904 pact sets regular hours near ten hours, pay for train crews during reporting and deadhead, reinstatement after discipline, union appeals, and a one year duration. Names include Cleveland and South-Western Traction Company officers T Pomeroy E Schneider and union officers R G Stewart J B Sheanan.
The employees express gratitude for public sympathy after recent troubles and pledge courteous service. Effie McAllister sues James McAllister for divorce alimony and name restoration, claiming prior marriage to another woman at the time of their union. Attorneys Thompson and Glitsch represent McAllister.

Humane John Miller fined 100 dollars and costs and ordered sixty days in the Cleveland workhouse for failing to support his family. Pater Raiser fined ten dollars and costs by Mayor Folger after conviction for beating and choking his partner. Reiger from Elyria and Arthur M. Skinner, 43, shoe dealer, Charfon, Lucy M. Lersch, 42, cashier, Elyria, figures in the proceedings led by Humane Agent Lawrence.
CC Dudgeon QC, once missing since December, reappeared near St. Louis and plans to resume his Lorain business, while notices also announce J A Reublin assuming Frank Reublin's share in Reublin Bros grocers and taking on all debts.
Notice to gas consumers announces schedule of gas rates effective May 1 1904 through May 1 next year with two seasonal rates and a 10 percent discount for payments by the 10th of the month. The Citizens Gas and Electric Company T L Schrantz, Agent signs the notice.
An Elyria man employed at a steel plant suffered a back injury when a large valve fell from a height of about thirty to forty feet. He was hospitalized at Sir Joseph’s hospital with a severely bruised back but no broken bones.
James McAllister of Lorain is under arrest on a serious charge of bigamy. Authorities allege he is married to two women, the first being Miss Weber of Cleveland and the second Miss.
Jiffie Smith of Lorain recounts that while intoxicated Mrs Simith and her father urged him to wed her daughter Weber. He says the pair later accompanied him to Cleveland and Lorain where a license was obtained and the marriage took place.
