Study Club's First Meeting of the New Year
The Clermont Study Club held its first 1961 52 year meeting on Tuesday at the Masonic Temple led by Ruth Olson as president with Bertha Fosler, Joyce Appelman, and Rose Riegel in officer posts. Committees include program chaired by Basler Olson and Moore, penny fund Appelman, towel chair Cline, Pan American Fellowship Dummermuth, scholarship Jerdee, and Lubke as historian. Mildred Moore taught the lesson on emotional stability after a 1:30 dinner with Clermont public school women teachers and junior study club members as guests.

Freshmen Initiation Week At CHS Sparks Laughter And Learning
Friday morning twenty three green freshmen dressed for a playful initiation, performing feminine and masculine roles in a gym skit while sophomores dish out light punishment. The day ends with supper and a theater outing as students study shorthand and constitutional foundations, with units one to three tested and noted gains in understanding.

One Man Cast to Present Shakespeare at Clermont Gym
Jack Rank, a University of Nebraska graduate, will present a one man Shakespearean play before Clermont students at 1 40 p m on October 2. He portrays multiple characters with rapid costume changes and performs both male and female roles under the auspices of the University of Minnesota department of concerts and lectures.

Service Club Meeting at Amundsons Hosts Eleven Members
The Service Club gathered Sept. 18 at Mabel Amundson home with eleven members and visitors Mrs. Norman Amundson and Patsy.
