The Elgin Echo, issued Thursdays, is published by R. P. Strauch and is entered at the Elgin Iowa post office as second class mail matter.

Wolfe says Richter and Sharpe acted with malice. he was jailed in Clayton county before grand jury released him in October 1932.
The University of Iowa defeated Indiana 32 29 in Iowa stadium their first win there since 1933 and first over Indiana since 1921. Dr. Anderson was among Iowa coaches to see his initial team win a conference opener setting a Big Ten scoring record for both teams. Iowa trailed by 10 and 9 but came back to win while Indiana erased a 10 point deficit to score 19 straight. Three of Nile Kinnick’s four passes went to Captain Prasse for touchdowns.
