Clermont Commercial Club Holds Meeting
A regular Clermont Commercial Club meeting was held at 8 p m on Nov 10 after a meal at Bettys Cate with 43 members and guests served and 34 present. President Gunderson led the session. last meeting minutes were approved. A note from former president Eugene Robeson was read. The Bucks crewing time was moved to Saturdays at 2 30 p m starting Dec 1. A turkey drawing will run four Saturdays from Dec 1. six turkeys each Saturday plus Bucks and cash prizes. Committees were formed for decorations, drawings, lights, windbreak, and skating plans. The town council was praised for Halloween handling and sewer project approval.

Women’s Service Club Meets at Martin Amundson Home
The Women’s Service Club met Tuesday afternoon November 20 at the Martin Amundson residence. Twelve members shared Thanksgiving plans, minutes from the prior meeting were read and approved, and charity outreach planned included five dollars to the Muscatine Children’s Home, twelve cans of fruit juice to the Good Samaritan Home in West Union, plus Christmas cards for shut ins. A birthday card was sent to Mrs Sophia Vasey in Baltimore Maryland and Mrs Herbert Martin celebrated a birthday that month. Poems were read by Mrs Will Burrow Mrs Gilbert Anderson and Mrs Arthur Nelson. the meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer and a song at Mrs Herbert Martin’s home.
