Marion Happy Hustlers 4-H Club Meeting Nov 1962

The Marion Happy Hustlers 4-H Club met at Marvin Berg’s home on November 19 1962. Three new members Bonnie Kittelson James Meyer and Richard Kittelson were initiated. The group discussed a Christmas party for December 17 at Fast Mont Lutheran Church with a gift range of 50 to 75 cents. Officers and girls planned lunch and recreation. Award moments honored Mark Amundson for county agricultural work and Wayne Anderson for an electric award with a Pe Shelter entry at Clayton County fair. Marvin Berg and Gary Kittelson gave a demonstration on taking a corn moisture sample. Lunch was provided by Mrs Orville Berg and Mrs Clarence Harland Til Bilden.

Marion Busy Bees Meeting Held at St Pauls Church

The Marion Busy Bees met at St Pauls Methodist Church with new members Kathy Dennler Marcia Dennler Pamela Coffin Marie Brackin Janice Hanson Aud rey Pulfer. A committee was appointed to check camera pricing. Members Sharon Wanda and Carol. A table cloth was bought for Ert Hofer and payments approved for the cloth film bulbs for camera and pictures for historians book. Christmas gifts will be exchanged. Christmas party committees were announced for food decorations and textile painting demonstration by Sylvia Hanson.

Illyria Clipperettes Hold November Club Meeting

Iva Feller and Iantha Strong hosted the Illyria Clipperettes 4-H Club meeting. Eighteen members answered roll, Lorales Wenger served as treasurer, two guests attended, and officers were installed with the old officers inaugurating the new. Christmas gift exchange names drawn, gifts set to cost 75 cents to $1. Leader Mrs Light spoke on extra projects, lunch by the hostesses.

Cheery Valley hosts Mrs. Roscoe Larson and family as dinner guests Thursday in the Alex Schneider home. St. Olaf records Mr. and Mrs. Will Christen visiting last Sunday in the Frank Christen home. Reuben Christen paid a Thursday visit with Win Miles and Jerome Yearous, while Mrs. Russell Friederich with children, and Mrs. Wm. Dennler with Billy Jane, called Tuesday afternoon at the Robert Hanson home. Mrs. Ernest Christen also mentioned.

Golden Wedding Celebration for Will and Hazel Frey

An open house on Sunday, December 16 from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm at Wadena Presbyterian Church honors Mr. and Mrs. Will Frey on their 60th wedding anniversary. Methodist Youth Fellowship Meeting in Clermont

The M Y F met at Karen Alderson’s home in Clermont Sunday evening with 23 members present. Rev. and Mrs. Lee Roy Collins attended. Mike Wilson led the lesson “The Final Victory.” They voted to donate $10 to the Hill Crest Baby Folds in Dubuque as a mission project. Next meeting is at the church on December 16 as the group plans to go caroling.
