Local Families Share Weekend Visits and Church Events
A patchwork of visits fills weekends across the area. Mrs Lola Yearous and Mrs Tofield Heck hosted Sunday guests. Mrs Silas Wilson and Mr and Mrs Myrtin Strong entertained, while the Duane Strong family hosted Sunday dinner. The Past Matron Club of El kader met at Arthur Yearous’s home. Des Moines residents Bill Burton and the Foxwell family were seen visiting Arlington and Clermont neighbors. Elgin Lutheran Church baptized infants of the Earl Lembke family, with a 60-person picnic following. Melbourne and Yuba City visitors arrive, as the Progressive Home Study Club plans a meeting on Wednesday. Local families welcome guests from Volga, Cedar Rapids, Pomroy and Dundee.
