Pvt. Paul Pinney son of Mr and Mrs Elmer Pinney of Elgin will go to Germany in March as a water supply specialist with the 127th Airborne Engineer Battalion. He enlisted January 26, 1953 and trained at Fort Ord California then Fort Campbell Kentucky where he volunteered for Airborne training. He graduated jump school July 15 1935 after Elgin High School and work as an assistant X ray technician before service. Returns to El Paso Texas. Mr and Mrs Kenneth Kjosa and K Theodore Jr went to Muscatine Tuesday where K Theodore Jr entrained for El Paso Texas.
Mrs Leonard Heins of West Union underwent an appendectomy at Postville hospital on Wednesday morning. Clarence Muehlethaler plans a Thursday trip to the Rochester Clinic for examination. Ernest Holzer was taken by ambulance to a Rochester, Minnesota hospital on Friday. Mrs Holzer and another woman also went to Rochester and stayed until Monday when they returned home with Ernestine Holzer and Nelson of Seattle who flew to Rochester to be with their father. Eugene Schori accompanied his wife to Rochester for a Saturday checkup. Arthur Strong, son of Mr and Mrs Harold Strong, injured when his tractor trapped his foot on Tuesday afternoon.
