Dr. C C Miehe Retires in Arlington
Dr C C Miehe an Arlington dentist of more than forty years service to this community has returned He recently disposed of all office equipment to a dental company and sold his building to Paul Good A graduate of the College of Dentistry Town City in 1916 he set up a practice in Maynard In 1917 World War I he answered the call by enlisting at Des Moines but was not called to active duty until 1918 at Camp Green Teal Ga He practiced here continuously except for a year or so when in 1948 he sold to Dr Kuennen who returned to Germaville The Miches moved to Maynard in 19 He resumed his profession serving a wide area including many residents of neighboring towns He made daily trips from his Maynard home until ill health during the past summer forced his retirement which is regretted by a wide circle of friends On July 7 1981 his dental class celebrated their 45th anniversary at Hotel Savery Des Moines The Miches were active in St John Lutheran Church the Masonic and Eastern Star lodges the American Legion and Auxety the Arlington bend and civic organizations He served as director of the American National Bank for years becoming president a number of years ago and still actively serves as its president now being the Arlington State Bank Quotes gard were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Harry Leader and family hi aere to celebrate Kathryn s third birthday
