Elgin High School Showcases Sixth Annual Spring Concert
A full house greeted Elgin High School’s musical union as the band and girls glee club performed under Harold Weibel who earned a superior rating at the district contest in Postville. Colleen Roberts delighted with a tap routine, and a girls trio sang from the contest entries. The program, praised by patrons, complemented the later annual exhibit. Baccalaureate services were led by Rev. J. J. Snyder, with a solid turnout. Framing this, Friday picnics preceded a baseball game against Wadena. Clermont defeated Elgin 10 to 3 at Schori Field, despite Elgin’s effort.
