Executors Clarence B. Schori and Leo L. Schori announce appointment by Fayette County District Court on May 13, 1983. All debts to the estate should be paid to the executors. all claims must be presented to the court for allowance. Attorney C. W. Antes, First National Bank Building, West Union, Iowa.
Mrs. Leon Hansen Mrs. Der ryl Leonhart and Mrs. Arden Greener hosted a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Russell Goodell in a social gathering. Guests attended and gifted registry items as part of the celebration.
Cub scouts from Dens I II and III hosted a May 7 pack meeting in the Lutheran church dining room with the theme Circus Days. Den I featured a Peep show and skill games under Mrs. Russell Wenger while Den II presented a Freak Tent and animal songs under Mrs. Raymond Boley n. Den III under Mrs. Joe Lerch performed House of Fun and a human pyramid as they marched in a circus parade. Jeffrey Cline and Larry Wede led the flag ceremony as Rev. Lee Roy Collins, cubmaster, announced awards including bobcat pins and wolf and gold arrow recognitions for several scouts.
Easter Seals event at St Pauls Methodist Church Friday evening featured games and contests. Attendees included numerous local and Clermont residents with gifts from away areas and a June dinner planned. the Fay ette County Easter Seal Campaign reported $1,246.58 net for the year, Camp Sunnyside highlighted.
Marion Busy Bees 4-H Club met May 6 at the home of Sylvia Hanson with 18 members present. Hall call addressed grooming tips. Vera Coffin elected officer candidate for Day. Genevieve Chilton to develop float ideas. Dianne Wenger volunteered for state chorus. Program included talks on skin care and material buying, a sewing center demonstration, and guests Mrs. Thiele, Mrs. Hanison, and Mrs. Wenger. Lunch served.
The final Elgin Study Club meeting of the year was held at Mrs. C B Schori's home last Tuesday evening with Mrs Rex Mulford assisting. Members brought souvenirs from distant lands, and Mrs Martin Wenger and Mrs William Howard led the program while guest Mrs Robert Moore presented a film Art and Life in Italy. A towel chair was named for Mrs R Strauch. The group plans dinner at Cliff House Decorah on Tuesday evening June 4, with Leota Welch Thomas Pollock and Clara Baumgartner in charge.
The Pleasant Valley Farm Bureau Homemakers met Friday May 10 at Mrs. Lyle Martins home. Seventeen members and two guests attended a Scottish luncheon with new dishes. The meeting began at 2 pm led by township chairwoman Mrs. Richard Frie len. Roll call was foods and dinner was provided by members.
