Elgin trades bustle with shops and town news
The Elgin market highlights include Capper & Shaffer selling carpets and Dry Goods, Finke's Drug Store offering spectacles and wares, Crandall's selling Elgin flour at $1 per sack, and G D Cook’s studio promoting free portraits for couples starting life together. A new sidewalk on Pleasant Street, town council actions, and a busy farm machine trade drive local activity with shops, promotions, and upcoming baseball game against West Union.
