Henry Brown of Stettion sustained probable fatal injuries from a jaw blow in an 11th round boxing match at the Palace Sporting Club in Trenton New Jersey. Brown endured six rounds before collapsing and was hospitalized in serious condition. Referee and opponent Jack Smith were arrested.

Corwith Iowa March 23 a select company staged an entertainment at the opera house to aid the Corwith band formed about a year ago. The benefit event was a decided success with strong local support and lively performances.
