Two year old Janet Mae Evans of Pleasantville ingested a small amount of poisonous fly killer thinking it candy. She was rushed to the hospital and later recovered nicely.

Mrs Belva Snyder hosted the Elgin Study Club last Tuesday. Members discussed the United Nations panel with Beverly Howard and Donna Meinhard. Delegates to the county convention were elected and the group pledged donations to the library music fund and other causes.
