The 26th annual Roberts family reunion gathered eighty relatives at West Union fair grounds on Sunday June 26. Officers were reelected with W L Roberts as president and Mrs Ed Wenger as secretary treasurer. A updated family tree was assigned to Mrs Fred Koch and repairs to the M Roberts grave were completed. A special collection funded the costs. The oldest guest was Mrs Etta Dunn and prizes went to Mrs Frank Wins of Chicago for traveling far and to DeWayne Smith’s baby as the youngest attendee.
Elma Reichert is appointed administratrix of Harry Reichert's estate in Fayette County Iowa by the district court on June 18 1955. Creditors must present claims to the court for allowance and debtors must pay the administratrix at First National Bank Building West Union Iowa via attorney Co W Antes.

Fredrik E. Anderson and Lorna Glee Swain married in Paton on a Sunday ceremony at the Evangelical United Brethren Church. Rev G H Banford officiated with Darlene Herwig as organist and Katherine Grant of Ames singing. Bridesmaids wore aqua gowns and a pastel pink gown for matron of honor Weldon Juklander attended from Wichita as cousin. Wedding featured lace gown with bateau neckline and crystal pleating panels.
The Miller-Baumgartner reunion was held Sunday, June 26, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Attendees included 48 from Iowa and 42 from Wisconsin with many families listed from EgIn West Union Volga Wa dena Postville Clermont Waterloo and other locales.
