Obituary of Mary Roberts Known as Aunt Marie at Elgin

Mary Phoebe Eastman Shutt Roberts, born August 22, 1857 in Auburn, lived in Elgin after marriages to John Richard Shutt and Humphrey Roberts. She died June 20 at age 93 in Elgin, survived by four nieces and a nephew and her husband. She was known for kindness, cared for a sick child during a blizzard, and long resided in Elgin. Funeral held at Elgin parlor with interment in Elgin cemetery.
