Dora Lee Medberry and Gordon A Landswerk exchanged vows Sunday at 2 30 pm in St Pauls Methodist Church with Rev Bruce D Jones officiating. The bride wore a nylon marquisette gown and orange blossom crown. maid of honor Marlys Wenger wore orchid tafteta. Relatives traveled from several towns and the couple plans to reside in Sumner after a two week Canadian trip.

Obituary of Mrs Rachel Frieden from Elgin area
Mrs Rachel Frieden daughter of Joseph and Mary Schnéider born October 20 1864 in Clayton died June 13 at eighty five. She lived in the community all her life and joined the Apostolic Christian church early. She married Fred Sutter December 7 1885 and had seven children. two daughters and three sons preceded her. After his death she married Ben Frieden who died in 1934. Survived by two daughters Louisa Butikofer Elgin and Marie Blunier Roanoke Ill two sons William Sutter West Union and Eli Sutter Taylor Mo two sisters Rose Baumgartner and Celia Schneider lone brother Fred Schneider all of Elgin plus 36 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren and one stepchild. Funeral Friday at Apostolic Christian church conducted by Rev Fred Grimm Quincy burial south of the church. Pall bears include six grandsons Lewis John Jr Butikofer Harlow Edward Blunter Frederick Sutter James Sutter. Many relatives from nearby towns attended including families from Taylor Roanoke Quincy West Bend and Cedar Rapids.
