Peters and family from Bellevue joined others in Joe Peters and Garland Knight homes for a Sunday-to-Tuesday stay. Edith Geh ring’s graduation at Iowa City drew Jack VenSickle, Lawrence Geh ring, Janet and Arthur Schneider, along with attendees. Readouts list additional visits to Lotts, the Harlo Meyer and Robert Merr families in Postville, Dennis Olson in Diermont and Robert Kerr Jr. at his residence, with Paul Patterson of Lansing stopping by the Wilson Patterson home Friday. Other guests included Mrs. Lyle Granger, Racine, and Sid Patterson of West Union. A nearby Reeder reunion picnic gathered Sunday at Kidek’s Island, Fayette, with multiple families present.

Immigrants from The Netherlands who settled together in New Jersey lived there until 1900 when Jim Roose moved to Pella. Recently John from Prospect Park New Jersey and his daughter visited the Jim Rooses in Pella. Both men are in good health and enjoyed renewing their friendship.
Mrs Harold Meisner entered Gunderson Clinic La Crosse Wisconsin June 4 for check up and x rays. She was hospitalized at Lutheran Hospital until June 9 when she returned home. H F Robbins entered Palmer Memorial Hospital West Union Monday morning as a medical patient. He was expected home in a day or two. Elgin Echo Want Ad urges readers to turn unused articles into cash.
About 20 does perished and 18 were saved in a kennel fire owned by Mrs. Mabel Barnett in West Grove. Some frightened animals wandered after rescue. all returned except one chihuahua. Retires Miss Bertha Roeve after 40 years teaching home economics at Leuvens Community School. Cousins Jim Roose and John Roose met for the first time after 11 years apart.
