Kiplinger Sees a Better World After 30 Years
Kiplinger marks 80 years of reporting world events and forecasting trends with a 30th anniversary issue. He predicts the world will be better in the next three decades, though progress requires hard knowledge and swift action. He recalls starting with a typewriter and few subscribers, building a Washington Letter agency now delivering to readers nationwide and abroad. He cites rising wages, lower relative costs, and innovations from sound films to electronics as signs of ongoing improvement, while noting shifts toward larger government and labor growth.
