Obituary for George E. Landsgaard pioneer farmer dies at 70
George E. Landsgaard born August 1 1891 in Clayton county Iowa served in World War I from 1917 to 1919 with action on the Argonne Woods and Chateau Thierry. He was inscribed on Verdun’s Golden Book and married Rosena Torkelson in 1923. He lived near Gun der before his death from a heart attack June 28 at age 70. survived by wife three sons and two daughters.
