Charles Feller son of John and Magdelene Schori Feller born in Boardman November 1 1876 lived on family farm before farming and business career in Elgin Osborn and Harrisburg He married Maude Patterson then Estelle Arbuthnott two sons Myrlin and Charles He died January 7 1950 at 73 a member of St Pauls Methodist Church served on church boards town council and Elgin Community Club Survived by wife Estella son Myrlin brothers George Henry sisters Louise Heddrick Ida Cooley and many relatives and friends Funeral attendance listed with several named relatives and a Card of Thanks from Mrs Charles Feller.
Obituary notes the death of Thos. Kerr a retired farmer at his Waterloo residence on January 5. Funeral services held at Illyria with burial in nearby cemetery.
Elgin Iowa council met in regular session at the town hall. Mayor Falk and Councilmen present. no one absent. Bills approved for General Fund Waterworks and Fire Fund with listed vendors and taxes. G R Becker refunded 25 for expired cigarette license. Cigarette permit granted to Sylvan and Margene Lenth. Class B Beer Permit also granted after appearance of Mr Leath. Meeting adjourned.
