Former Resident Buried in Elgin After Illness
Mary Ann Sorg daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Long lived on a Clayton county farm and studied there. She married George A Miller in 1887 and lived with Dr Mattoon in Elgin then Cresco before moving to Benton Harbor to be with her daughter. She joined the Cresco Methodist Church over fifty years ago and was active in the church and Women’s Society. She died Tuesday in the Miller Convalescent Home St Joseph Michigan and was buried in Elgin Cemetery after funeral services conducted by Rev Bruce D Jones.
