Pleasant Valley Farm Bureau Homemakers met February 8 at Mrs. Dale Lietz home with fifteen attendees. Activities included pledges, music by Edward Krueger and a health and rights report by members, plus plans for March events, a yeast bread contest, and a clothing style show. After dinner, Ernst Paulsen and Alma Funk married January 28, 1913 at Luana Lutheran church. they have five children and eight grandchildren.

Sunday afternoon visitors included Brenda, Ben Testa, and Vickie Oldson at the Olvin Isons home. Mr. and Mrs. Selmer Holm visited the Will Bergen and Leslie Lantz homes. Orvin Loftsgard and family hosted gatherings Friday and Sunday evenings. Selma Groth stays with the Loftsgards from Sunday to Tuesday for the polio fund. Sunshine committee members include Howard Medberry, Louie Backer, and Earl Kiple. The program featured an Ash Wednesday article by Mrs. Joe Kiosa and first aid hints by Mrs. Roger Howard, followed by Valentine cookies and bingo. March meeting planned at Mrs. Don Little’s with a cookie-candy exchange and recipe bring.
