The Pleasant Valley Farm Bureau women met at Elgin Savings Bank on Monday to design and sew spring hats in a women-only work room. The gathering followed a party Tuesday evening marking their 18th wedding anniversary. Geo H and W C Falk returned from Chicago after attending the 1200 Chevrolet dealers banquet at the Chicago automobile show.

Groom’s party featured Leo Nading as best man and Duane Frie den Eugene Butikofer as groomsmen. Bride wore white marquisette satin gown with red roses. reception for 36 followed. The bride, Elkader high school graduate 1949, and groom, Elgin high school 1948, will reside with groom’s parents until April before he enters armed forces.
