Residents across Clermont and nearby towns hosted guests from La Crosse Wisc Dubuque Cedar Rapids and Elkader over the weekend. Families including the Halvers Swensons Andersons and Kleppes shared Sunday visits while others traveled from Rochester Iowa City and West Union for dinners lunches and Christmas events. Carol Helgerson Hurt in Two Car Crash
Carol Helgerson daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur Helgerson was injured Saturday afternoon in a two car accident at the intersection near West Clermont Lutheran Church. She was riding with her father when Vernon Andersons car struck the side of their car pushing it into a light pole then against a tree. Helgerson was thrown from the vehicle and taken to Postville Community Hospital.
