Raema Jean Young daughter of Mr and Mrs Tom Klotz and Robert Glen Dennler son of Mr and Mrs Ben Dennler of Elgin united in marriage Saturday evening Dec 3 at the home of Mr and Mrs Gordon Hennick Des Moines. Rev Harold Davenport performed the double ring service. The bride wore a light blue dress with white baby roses. A reception followed for about thirty guests. The couple will live at their cabin four miles west of Elhart after a short wedding trip.

Nutting Halverson Wedding Saturday

Miss Ellen Nutting daughter of Mr and Mrs Gene Nutting of Elgin married Kenneth Halverson son of Mrs Ida Halverson of Illyria on a Saturday evening December 3 in Bethel Presbyterian Church West Union. The ceremony was by Rev G W Ukena with Ruth Nutting and Harry Brause as attendants. The couple will reside in West Union where Halverson works at Wilbur Motors.

The Marion Mission Society met on Thursday December 8 with hostesses Mrs George Landsgard and Mrs Gordon Landsgard. Devo tions were led by Mrs Kenneth Mark and Bible study by Mrs Harold Opland and Mrs Christine Ryp estol. Reading by Mrs Kenneth Kjosa and vocal duet by Mrs Gordon Landsgard and Mrs Maurice Landsgard. Poems by Mrs Louis Kjosa. The convention report on The World Needs Christ was given by Mrs Ida Leuchtenmacher. The secretary's annual report was read. Thank you letters from charitable institutions were read and reports on the clothing drive given.
