Wadena News: Wadena Wonder Workers 4-H Meeting Recap

The Wadena Wonder Workers 4-H Club met at Deon Jennings home marking a first meeting for new members. members heard talks on Look for Beauty by Mary Erickson and Good Grooming by Sheilah Messerli. Mrs. Clarkie Voshell taught Copper Craft. Officers attended county training in Fayette on Friday Nov 25. The American Legion Auxiliary met Dec 1 at Mrs Arthur Herrling home with ten present. Bills totaling 42 30 were approved. The unit sends 1 00 to servicemen for Christmas. twenty one members so far. A quilt is nearly finished and batt donated. Meetings continue Tuesdays at Livingstons. Supplies for Iowa City hospital to be sent include cookies and candy. Members G W Alderson Clem Messerli Leo Herriman Luther Crandall will bake cookies and Otto Herrling Tom Sniffin Madge Murray Far Livingston and Arthur Herrling will make candy. The unit voted to send 5 00 to USO in Des Moines. A bake sale is planned for Dec 10 with committees appointed. January lunch committee is Mrs

Bert Aylsworth, Mrs Cleo Moore and Mrs Pearl Johnson hosted the 500 club Monday evening. Prizes were won by Mrs Dawson Clark, Mrs Pearl Johnson, Mrs Lester Gehring and Mrs Wilder Mattocks. The Ilyria Homemakers Club meets with Mrs Howard Medberry December 9 at 1 15 p m. The lesson is Yeast Roll Making.
