Supplies for Iowa City hospital to be sent include cookies and candy. Members G W Alderson Clem Messerli Leo Herriman Luther Crandall will bake cookies and Otto Herrling Tom Sniffin Madge Murray Far Livingston and Arthur Herrling will make candy. The unit voted to send 5 00 to USO in Des Moines. A bake sale is planned for Dec 10 with committees appointed. January lunch committee is Mrs
Bert Aylsworth, Mrs Cleo Moore and Mrs Pearl Johnson hosted the 500 club Monday evening. Prizes were won by Mrs Dawson Clark, Mrs Pearl Johnson, Mrs Lester Gehring and Mrs Wilder Mattocks. The Ilyria Homemakers Club meets with Mrs Howard Medberry December 9 at 1 15 p m. The lesson is Yeast Roll Making.
Pfc Donald Olson son of Mr and Mrs Henry T Olson arrived home Friday from Fort Knox Ky to spend the weekend with his family and be on leave.
William Kohls, previously a patient at Postville hospital for a week, was transported to Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse Wisconsin, and assigned to Room 214. Mrs Jim Daniels underwent surgery last Wednesday at Iowa City and remains in care.
Mr and Mrs Walter Hill of Milwaukee welcome a son named Ronald Edward born November 12.
