Sunnydale Club Held Meeting

The Sunnydale Club met Nov. 28 at the La Verne Larson home. Devotions were given by Mrs. La Verne Larson, America was sung by the group, Roll call was The biggest surprise we had at Christmas. Reading was Thanksgiving by Mrs. Otto Blockhus and Thankful for privileges of freedom by Mrs. Kenneth Mark. Mrs. Herbert Blockhus conducted games with prizes going to Mrs. Otto Blockhus and Mrs. Earl Seitz. Mrs. M. J. Blockhus showed homemade Christmas corsages and books and magazines with Christmas decoration ideas.

An obituary notes a 4 year old auto accident in Western Texas on Nov 30. He was lifelong Lutheran, educated in agricultural studies at Upper Iowa University and Wiscon siouke. Married June 11, 1908 near St Olaire. Served Fayette County as state representative in 1926 27 and 1930 31. Spent winters in Phoenix for 14 years with wife Olive. Survived by six sons and one daughter, twelve grandchildren, wife Olive, and many relatives. Preceded by parents and brothers Daniel and Ole.
