Death of Otto Schroeder in Westfir Oregon
Friends in Clermont report the death of Otto Schroeder in Westfir Oregon on November 24. His widow Elsie Lindgren, formerly of Clermont, resides with Mr and Mrs Martin Nelson. Schroeder had been in failing health for months. He leaves six children aged three to eighteen. Address listed as Box 378 Westfir Oregon. Schroeder was a former cheesemaker at Gunder.

The Busy Beavers 4 H Club held its November gathering at the Hanson home with Margaret and Randine Hanson hosting. Randine and Margaret Hanson along with Carol Helgerson Dianne Bilden and L Myra Anderson were named to the program committee. Jean Amundson was selected club photographer. Christmas gift exchanges were drawn. Mrs Mervin Reierson spoke on Good Grooming and demonstrated color wheels. Maren Knudsen named better groomed girl of the month. Vera Hangartner and Harlan Schultz Jr. wed at St Peter's Church Clermont in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev Robert Cooney. The bride wore a chantilly lace gown with a tulle veil and carried pink carnations and white mums. Matron of honor was Duane Thompson and best man Dale Schultz. A reception followed and a wedding dance was held that evening in Elgin. The couple will reside in Waterloo after a short wedding trip.
