Nine members of Explorer Scout Post No. 334 depart Eldora for a two week trip to Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado. The group will camp at Glacier Basin seven miles west of Estes Park and plan side trips through Canon City Royal Gorge Leadville Salida Colorado Springs Denver and Boulder Cheyenne and a Black Hills tour returning June 14.

The Church of Christ intermediate youth camp begins a week long session at Quaker Heights on June 15 and runs through June 26. Sidney Schuler of Irwin Iowa will lead the vesper services. A Black student from the School of Scriptures Louisville Ky will oversee missionary services.

New School Board To Be Named At Steamboat Rock
A five-member board plus a treasurer will govern the Steam boat Rock consolidated school district in a special election on July 6. Candidates must file nominating papers by noon on the 10th day before the election. Voters in Steamboat Rock and three Clay rural areas will cast ballots at the town hall from 12:00 noon to 7:00 p.m. on election day. The board terms will be two, two, and one for three years, plus a treasurer.

Rental Increases At Eldora Postoffice July 1
Postmaster J R Bahne announces a new box rental schedule effective July 1 at Eldora postoffice. Small boxes rise from 60 to 90 cents, 75 cent boxes to 1 10, 1.00 size to 1.50, and 1.50 boxes to 2.25 for a three month period. This is Eldora’s first increase since 1907.

Missouri Man Killed Near Falls Saturday
Floyd H. Greene Jr. 32 of Kansas City Missouri died Saturday when his car left the highway south of Iowa Falls during Memorial Day weekend. Sheriff Hodgson said high speed caused the fatal crash. Greene was alone in the vehicle.
