Sheriff Confronts Driver After Highway Standoff

Webster City driver attempts to pass Sheriff Paul Hodgson on No 65 south of hearing list. Hodgson forced off the road to avoid collision, pursued, and spoke by car radio with Story County Sheriff in Nevada. The Hardin officer, with deputy Howard Dempsey and a prisoner, overtook the motorist and handed him over for a driving charge.

Milking Clinic Planned in Marshalltown Jan 13

An educational meeting on mastitis prevention and high quality milk will be held in Marshalltown January 13. Elders Baptist church hosted services for Chris EB. Luhman 77 who died Thursday at Eklora hospital. Born May 7 1872 in Germany he came to America in 1880 and farmed near Hubbard. He married Helena Dreier in 1894 and is survived by wife three children six grandchildren two great grandchildren and several siblings in Germany and Langdon N.
