Lieut C P Carbonel arrived in Washington to wed Evangelina Cisneros after registering at the War Department. The couple planned to marry at Mrs Gen Logan’s home with the ceremony later conducted in Baltimore by Rev Frank M Wilson.

He is now eighty ninth and famed for long public life and early forties congressional service.
