Unique pilot program aids children from Terrace group home
The Source Child Center in Mountlake Terrace runs a pilot Practice Family Project for up to six children from its 22-bed facility. Volunteers host children for positive family exposure as a transition aid to adoption or foster care, with flexible time commitments and diverse volunteer backgrounds. Circle K liquor license proposal put on hold at Five Corners
The Edmonds City Council paused the liquor license request for a proposed Circle K at Five Corners after petitions signed by over 600 area residents were presented by Eric Anderson of Five Corners Deli. A letter from Saint Matthew Lutheran Church opposed the license. The council will send the application back to the state for further action.
