Francis Receives Eagle Scout Award in Edmonds Family
Dan W. Francis, 15, becomes the fourth son of Dale M. and wife in Edmonds to earn Eagle Scout. He received the honor at ceremonies at the Lynnwood Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His brothers Mark, David, and Kurt are also Eagle recipients. Dan is with Varsity Scout Team 265 and a Meadowdale High School sophomore who earned a swimming varsity letter as a freshman and is an honor student.

Policy seminar on extracurricular programs scheduled
Edmonds School District hosts a five day policy seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. October 17 to 21 at the Foodservice Annex in Lynnwood to discuss funding, impact of community programs on schools, extra credit for participants, and potential program improvements. Edmonds District invites parents, teachers, engineers, doctors and others to tutor students at Edmonds High School.
