Sludge aroma lingers on campus near Edmonds College
Edmonds Community College faces a strong smell from 12 acres treated sewage sludge as 35 tons were spread to improve soil for a campus beautification project. Wind and heat affect odor strength, with lime used near buildings to mask it. Officials note symptoms reported at a daycare are mild and likely not sludge related.
