Fire Destroyed Storage Building in Edmonds Area
Fire officials blamed two boys aged 11 and 13 for starting a blaze at a 60 by 20 foot storage barn at 8700 240th St SW. The structure, owned by Carol Asay, was fully engulfed on arrival and the loss, estimated at 18000 dollars, included food, a small tractor, firewood and tools.

Edmonds School Board upholds smoking ban plan

In a 4 to 1 vote the board kept the non smoking policy, promising tighter enforcement and possible budget shifts for adult supervisors.
