Stevens Hospital expands services to meet community needs

Stevens Memorial Hospital in Edmonds unveils new labor and delivery rooms, a centralized fetal monitoring system, day surgery unit, and laser procedures. The campus now offers cancer treatment advances, sports medicine, and expanded radiology and diagnostic services. The 23rd year includes 250 plus physicians and a focus on cost containment and access for Snohomish County residents.

Lifeline program eyed by Stevens Memorial Hospital Foundation

The Stevens Memorial Hospital Foundation plans its first funded Lifeline program this year to aid frail elderly and disabled residents. A 24 hour alert system uses a neck or wrist button to contact hospital personnel, volunteers, and municipal responders via a secured response center and information card. The project, already raising funds, may install a base station and 20 devices by year end with monthly rental around 20 dollars. funding may be provided for those unable to pay.
