Peace Table idea bridges U S and Soviet kitchens
Jerilyn Brusseau spent four hours with Moscow central committee of the Agro-Industrial Workers Trade Union outlining a U S Soviet culinary exchange. The project, now called Peace Table, aims to pair American and Soviet food growers preparers and gatherers, with first visits planned in the coming year. Brusseau notes the meals and kitchens helped build trust as she traveled through Leningrad and Moscow meeting cooks students and families.

Ducks Faced With Harassment Plan In Mountlake Terrace
Adams says ducks avoid the area as harassment continues with anti bird tactics. Waterfowl numbers have lingered around 175 since last spring due to efforts by Mountlake Terrace parks staff who harassed the birds. City council voted in November to pay federal authorities to handle the case, a nuisance for over ten years.
